In June 2025, the spirit of teamwork and determination was on full display as the Mpigi Light College Netball Team proudly participated in the Mpigi District Schools Competition. Bringing together schools from across the district, the tournament was a showcase of talent, resilience, and youthful energy — and our girls rose to the occasion.

After a series of competitive matches filled with fast passes, smart plays, and incredible defense, the Mpigi Light netball team secured an impressive 5th place finish out of all participating schools. It was a performance that reflected not only their physical ability but also their discipline, focus, and school pride.

“We trained hard and played harder. Reaching the 5th position in such a tough tournament motivates us to aim even higher next year,” said the team captain.

The tournament gave our students a chance to demonstrate sportsmanship, represent their school, and build confidence both on and off the court. It also highlighted the role of sports and fitness in shaping well-rounded learners — a core part of life at Mpigi Light College.

The school community commends the entire netball team and their coach for their dedication and team spirit. Their success is a reminder that excellence isn’t just found in the classroom, but also in the effort, discipline, and unity shown on the field.
